Artist's work

ROB RYAN
Rob Ryan uses paper engineering to create beautiful work, his paper cuts are famous for the intricate detail, i think his work has a certain charm the text and the images connect both literally and physically, by doing this he creates a beautiful scene.

I love the difference in colour between these pieces of work, using the high contrasting black and white makes this paper design stand out even more, and the black adds a quirky charm to the piece, and really fits the images using the black to shows up the midnight sky and the stars with the moon being able to host his beautifully worded text and the sweet characters bring this whole pieces together.

PETER CALLESEN
Peter Callesen work amazes me, using nets on his paper to create such intricate and fabulous designs, with his clean cut, pristine white paper his work always looks unbelievable, always connecting this 3D objects to the flat sheet of paper his work literally comes to life.

I honestly cant understand how he can create such detailed pieces of work, this skeleton piece is one of my favorites as it just shows his great talent for detail and this bringing the paper to life by having a 3D object come out of the flat paper.

I really love this as it relates to my idea of using nature, he has cut out the tree and used the paper cut out to create the roots, the detail in the branches and the leaves is astonishing, this piece gives me great inspiration for my own work.

 JEN STARK
Jen's work is completely different to the two other artists they all use paper in different ways, i really admire how she layers ups the paper to create almost an explosion of paper and colour, twisting and manipulation the paper to create such interesting shapes.
